Anyone ever used these vent covers?

Camco Aeroflow Vent Cover

Not that the MaxAir vents I've used are bad. Just looking for something a bit different. Plus, the added bonus of the whole top opening up for both inspection and cleaning is kind of nice. Price wise they appear to be a bit less than the base maxair units.

Even kicked around the idea of black, just so they don't show dirt as much.

Anyone tried them? What did you think?

Had one on my old popup and it worked fine. Went with two generic camcos on the new trailer because they were cheaper.

I've had them on our last two trailers. Very satisfied. I have white as they wouldn't "soak up" the heat like I think black would.

Yes I have used that vent cover in black as a matter of fact. It worked well and the fact that it could be opened to clean it out was a plus. I would still have it on the camper if I hadn't installed a turbomaxx fan a couple of years ago. The black vent cover still lets a little bit of light through but I think it's a great choice for over a bedroom vent.

.

I don't use this specific brand of Max Air. Instead, I use a brand called Vent Mate and it works great. Unknown to some, Vent Mate product has thicker plastic and is stronger strength than Max Air 1st generator product. And best of all, Vent Mate product was selling less price as well.

For color, I recommend Black over bedrooms and white color over bathroom and living areas. Black lets less light in. Thus, allows one to sleep in longer (which is a good thing).

Hope this helps.

MaxAir vents have always worked as intended for us and as the saying goes...If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And besides the whole idea of finding dirt is to clean it not cover it up. Of course that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.
