Arctic Fox 806

I know very little about truck campers, always been a trailer guy. My brother is looking at a 2005 AF 806. It's on a short bed now, but owner says it can be used on either long or short bed. Is that a normal thing? Bro has a long bed truck.

Not finding much about this model online, specs I found said 2800 dry. Add a thousand for stuff and full tanks sound right?

Thanks for the info, now it makes more sense to me.

^But some are called short bed only and the back wings have storage and generator there, requiring them to be set back a couple feet if put on a long bed.
Still not really an issue if one is good with the gap up front though.

Based on my AF in a short bed... you could easily put the same in a long bed. In fact, there is a huge overhang out the back of a short bed truck with my AF. Easily a few feet just floating in the air that could be better supportied with a long bed.

It's probably an 805. Nice campers and don't see many of them. No slide short bed camper. No basement I think, it's not as tall as the slide out models.
It'll work on a long bed too as long as there isn't storage or built in generator making it short bed only.

Definitely not an 860, no slideout.

You sure it’s not an 860? Arctic Fox did make that model in 2005 I believe.
