black seal creep in Bigfoot camper

I'm looking to buy a used camper. Found a bigfoot looks good except the owner listed this: "The only negative is the camper glass has the black seal creep inside the double pane windows. The windows themselves are sealed and have no leaks. Bigfoot had some years where this was an issue and verified that the window is not prone to leaking with the seal deformed."
What do you think its a 2004 25c9.6

I had dual pane windows on my Fleetwood Bounder...had to replace more than a few windows...It was well worth it it was a good Motor Home..although my 1995 Bigfoot has single pane windows I swear by the fiberglass clamshell truck campers...mine has out lived all my friends stick built TC's by far at 22 years old.A few windows would not keep me from a good Bigfoot at a good price.

Fleetwood must have used the wrong relay. The battery disconnect relay used in the Bigfoot (and the other RVs I've owned with them) is a bi-stable relay - it uses power only to switch states, but does not use power in either the on or off state. Some of them will be installed with a switch that has an indicator light showing "On". The light of course uses a very small mount of power, but the relay none.

There is quality and quality.
I like finish quality of both of my campers, but they come with some poor engineering points.
Once I fixed the engineering flaws, they become pretty good campers, with the exception that one had extensive delamination.
Than some campers are design for boondocking, some for staying in RV parks.
Fleetwood in luxury camper put relay for battery disconnect. When it is convenience with easy switch operation, it sucks electric power for nothing when you boondock.
Then we use TC differently. Some don't mind to run generator whole day, some install 600W of solars.

"On the quality of Bigfoot: I've always said that is sucks, but it sucks less than all other brands. It is an RV after all."

I'd second the suggestion to call Sun View if you have any issues with the windows (glass, trim, seals, etc.). They have made all of the windows for Bigfoot over the years and are usually very helpful with advice and parts.

Not to be pessimistic, but we also drove several hundred miles on short notice to pick up a used camper that was one year old and in near perfect condition, according to the owner. Saw numerous pics and asked tons of questions about it.
When we got there it was pretty much a dump (mold, water issues, things broken, dirty, trim warped), turned around and drove home. What a waste! Bought new instead.

Please look it over with a fine-toothed comb!

I think I drove 2600 miles to pick my Fleetwood. That was in negative 20F weather. But beside camper good price, the icing was loading several hundreds lb of smoked kielbasa in Chicago. European beer too.

yepp- I have a 2004 Bigfoot and one of my windows has the black seal creep issue. I see another window is starting to creep as well. This has not affected the insulating ability nor anything else aside from being cosmetically unappealing. I hope to replace the affected windows some day but because it's only cosmetic and really not that bad, I haven't had the motivation to spend the money and put in the work.

The rubber seal between the two panes of glass migrating, or moving out of place is not unique to Bigfoot. Check the forum for Fogging double-paned windows.
There are do it yourself kits available to rebuild the window, the windows must be removed, repaired, resealed and replaced. Not a big chore if you are handy and have a place to work out of the weather.

I had the windows of my 2004 Bigfoot TC repaired last year at the RV Fog Doctor in Searcy, AR. They did quality work, and service all types of RV's, I parked in the shop next to a couple of high-end Class A DPs.
In my case, the seals still functioned without leaks, but I didn't like the look and didn't want to wait to see if a leak developed.

All of them have promoters. If I wasn't happy with a camper, I wouldn't have it.
Are you saying the black creep is between the glass, around the edges? How much? 1/16" or 1 1/2"?
