Anyone here live in BC and have a 1 Ton Dually Truck with a truck camper? We are just getting ready to move from Alberta to BC and I need to know if there will be any complications or problems registering my 2003 Dodge Quad Cab 3500 Dually?

I have heard it will be considered a commercial vehicle even though it is strictly used as an RV.

Thanks all. Sounds like no problems. I know about the inspection. I have a 5-inch low restriction exhaust so I am thinking I might have to replace it with stock.

chances are Canadian tire won't even notice it.
and chances are the pimply faced 17 year old doing the inspection and making minimum wage won't care even if he does see it.

Are you going to keep your white and red plate so we can identify the crazy driver? :B

Only if your heading to the lower mainland, no issue in the interior.

Same here. F450 registered as a normal truck. Only thing to watch is the gvw they put on the registration, as it will affect the cost of licencing.

I'm from the BC interior and there was no need to register it as a commercial vehicle. You will need to have a safety inspection done on the truck since it is coming into the province.

See my signature. No problems with my dually registered as a normal truck.

We have a 1 ton Chevy silverado dually with an 11ft 6in. Lance camper. It is registered as commercial, ONLY because at the time we bought it we would have needed to Air Care it every year. Air Care has recently been discontinued.
