My daughter was getting a little warm in her bunk during our last camping trip, so I decided to put her a fan in to keep the air flowing.

I had been wanting to add a 12-volt fan to the main living area anyway, so I decided to tackle both jobs today. A trip to Wal-Mart for two fans($8.48 each) and we're halfway there.

She picked the spot, and I got to work -

I picked up the power from her overhead light. All I have left is to install a short piece of wire cover and I'm done -

I added one in the main area -

I dropped by Lowe's and found this cool soap dispenser. I also just installed these Pop-a-Toothbrush holders -

I added a sopa dispenser to the kitchen area as well. I also installed a Pop-a-Napkin under the radio -

Here's an easy mod. I found this over the door towel rack at Walmart and it works great -

Stinky Slinky locks

Just curious but why would you think you would need to lock up your stinky slinky? Are the thieves there that desperate? LOL :E

My Dad had his stolen a few years ago at a campground-at night while they were inside sleeping! Also, I have to store my TT at a storage facility, just don't want to take any chances. It's cheap insurance, a couple holes drilled through the bumper plugs and a couple of long shackle pad locks.

We park ours in a large storage facility as well and after buying a rhino-flex hose, this is a GREAT idea.

I lost a cap and had one dragging on the road. Luckily it was barely dragging and I found it when I stopped for gas. It only wore away a small amount of the bayonette fitting and I was still able to use it.

Those locks also make sure you don't loose the bumper plug and maybe the stinky slinky! Had that happen to us, lost plug, hose end vibrated out. We almost lost the whole thing! As it was we had to shorten it by a couple of feet.

We hung a 24-pocket shoe bag on the back of our bathroom door. Holds towels (rolled up with washcloths inside), q-tips, cotton balls, air fresheners, couple of scarves, and other odds and ends. Lot of inexpensive storage in an often unused space.

Just took delivery on a 2010 Jayco 17Z JayFeather Hybrid TT. Took it to Rock Cut State Park in Loves Park, IL this past weekend, and it was fantastic. Everything worked like a charm, but, of course, there are some mods needed to make it "ours".

  • Replaced the plastic hot water tank plug with a valved attachment to make draining a little easier.
  • Replaced the crappy stock thermostat with a fancy-dancy digital model.
  • Put in an over-the-door rack with 3 hooks for robes/towels, etc, on the bathroom door.
  • A paper towel holder over the sink.
  • Two brass hooks near the door to hold keys.

Just a small start, but at least it's a start. 🙂

Could not this black tank sprayer also be made of PVC? I don't have the tools to make it out of copper

Yes it can.
I made one using PVC. Attached a Ball Valve to one end with a garden hose fitting. Glued a cap on the bottom end and drilled holes in it. Works like a champ.

Be sure if you do this to get PVC for pressure along with the glue or it may end up in your tank

just got done installing a new digital thermostat,(Hunter 42999) magnetic knife rack and soft hoses to the waterpump. Got a 2.5 inch memory foam for the bed too, but haven't tried it out yet. DAve

I got a memory foam mattress topper for my camper, it made a world of difference. The original mattress by itself was so thin that it felt almost like I was sleeping directly on top of plywood.
