Dometic furnace thermostat on our 8315 BSS

Our trailer is a 2010 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8315 BSS. We were out the other day and in the evening the temperature was in the low 50's so the furnace was nice. But!! We have a large temperature swing between when the furnace starts up and shuts down. You get cool before it turns on then roast by the time it turns off. Is there any adjustment in the thermostat that reduces the maximum and minimum temperatures? Should we look at a different thermostat? Thanks.

I did a minor search. Model appears to be 31076-008. I was trying to find a manual for it but no luck. Lots of items relating to replacing it on Bing.com
It is an analog unit so it should have a setting. One would be for heat pump or furnace. That would change settings for anitcipator.
Could could try resetting it by removing the fuse for 10-15 seconds.

I ditched my furnace for a quiet electric heater/fan, best decision ever.

The cover is black. All that it says on the outside is Dometic. On the back of the cover it says made in India, has a tag with the numbers 3017610002, in the plastic are the identifiers LU-002A. There is a sticker on the circuit board that has the numbers 0930, then imprinted in the circuit board is #3107612-008. That's all I can see without unscrewing the unit from the wall. There isn't anything that says model number.

I just took off the cover for the thermostat and there isn't any place to adjust it that I can see. I tried (unsuccessfully) to get behind the circuit board. So no go there. I seems like a different thermostat is in order.

Yes, depending on the model of thermostat. It could be either a slide arm or a circular "anticipator". Remove cover from the thermostat. Locate adjustment. It should be set around .8. This should give about 2-3 degrees temperature swing. Closer to 1.0 sets the temperature closer to set point.

never thought a little thing would help/be a problem but mine was. Good advice on anticipator. Wish I would of known sooner about ours. We went from chill to way to warm until we adjusted ours.
