Truck is 2010 F150 Supercab 4X4 with 145" wheel base (6.5 ft bed) and the 5.4 V8 engine.
GVWR --- 7700 pounds
Weight, unloaded, with driver, tailgate and bed mat, 3/4 tank of gas, 6000 pounds.
Yesterday's weight at OR truck scale, 7400 pounds. UNDER GVWR!!! by 300 pounds. (3500# front axle, 3900# rear axle. Door sticker shows rear axle spec of 4050#. Mfg spec is 4250#).
Camper is a seven foot 1994 Jayco Sportster. This is the first time I have ever traveled nearly empty. I have 5 days of clothes, a half loaf of bread, and a pound of coffee. That's it. Propane is full. Water tank is empty.
The weight tag on the camper says 1100 pounds. The camper weighs 1400 pounds.
Keep in mind that this is with the four corner jacks removed. The hydraulic titan jacks each weighed 30 pounds apiece. Removing them eliminated 120 pounds of cargo. If I'd left those on, my 1100# camper would weigh 1520#.
This is the lightest trip I have ever taken. More often, I have additional food, more clothes, full water tanks, and a couple hundred pounds of ham radio equipment or fly fishing gear. Normally, mt truck/camper weighs right at the GVWR of 7700#. The heaviest I have ever weighed it is 7850# (include wife, two dogs). Fully loaded, my 1100 pound camper weighs 1850 pounds.
These are real world numbers measured twice a year for the past 6 years at certified CAT scales, and "closed" Oregon truck scales.
