Freshwater Tank Removal

I'm sure some of you have removed your freshwater tank. My reason is we have a seasonal parked at a cg, never use the freshwater tank, because we have running water.
A little more storage under the bed is what DW is after. Besides leaving the pump hooked up (for winterizing), what all do I disconnect to get it out? Doesn't seem like rocket science, but I'll take all the ideas & suggestions I can, LOL!
BTW, it's a 2000 Sunline Solaris. TIA.

Many of the Sunline Solaris line have the freshwater tank under the bed and above the floor like mine.

If you remove the water tank, make sure you remove the water pump too. sometimes the pump check valves go bad and the pumps leak back into the water tank. No tank big mess.

If you have to keep the pump for winterizing put a shut off valve at the pump outlet so you can isolate it from the city water pressure.

Or, Attach the pump to something (small cutting board) add a couple hoses with a female garden hose connection on the outlet hose, the other with no fitting and you can winterize though the city water inlet.

Simple job, disconnect the tank fill line, drain line and water pump line then unbolt the tank from its mounts. Leave all the lines tucked away for easy replacement if or when you sell the RV.

is it removable and replaceable or do you have to destroy things to get it out?
where do you plan on storing the tank?

I would not remove it .
When I was a seasonal the transient guests would sometimes back into the water spigots causing the CG water pump to overheat and shut off. I had to use my partially filled water tank and pump in those situations, otherwise you might be stuck all covered in soap with no way to rinse off.

Most fresh water tanks are under the floor so there would not be added space if removed. If you do remove it you should hold onto it as at trade in time you might want it.

I would not do that as you defeat the added purpose of our RV serving as an emergency option. I keep the fresh water tank full while at home and 1/2 when on the road. Leave your stuff at the seasonal CG instead as we do.
