Is it better to leave the fridge turned on when hooked to ac and not using the rv for a long time?

Our RV is parked at home..fully stocked with our stuff other than meats/fresh produce.

Fridge is ON....has been ON for 7 1/2 yrs except the 3-4 times a yr. to defrost.

Because it is at our house it is ready as an emergency shelter/guest housing/man cave 24/7. Costs me $50/month which is cheaper than unsecured open lot storage.

Better?????
Well don't know of any studies that point to better for fridge being turned On/Off or leaving ON vs reliability.

But it's better for me :B

It's your rig......use it like you want.
But if going to operate fridge........make sure rv is level. Off-level operation can damage the cooling unit of an RV fridge in less than 20 mins (causes blockage which is permanent)

when not in use turn off OPEN DOORS OR it could mold inside,

You mean when your not traveling? Turn it off if your not using it.
