Giant Sequoia monument campgrounds south unit

If anyone has stayed at any of the Giant Sequoia monument campgrounds to the south of Sequoia and Kings canyon and have recomendations I would appreciate it.

We really liked Quaking Aspen, between Camp Nelson and Ponderosa. Very quiet and cool, at 7000 feet. With that rig, you will have no trouble with Highway 190. Here is a short blog post that may be of help:

We have also stayed at Wishon, not far from Camp Nelson, in the winter -- it would be pretty warm in the summer, but the river is right nearby for swimming (in snowmelt -- very refreshing!). Here is a post about that trip:

Whatever you do, don't miss a hike in Freeman Grove -- one of the best groves in the Sierras.
