Going from a 5th wheel to a TT

I realize this is backwards to most people (including me), but for various reasons we are considering going from our 40ft 5th wheel to a shorter TT. I don't want to discuss which is better as I already know the significant benefits of the 5th over the TT.

What I need help with is understanding the benefits of the TT for families. We like a door to the master bedroom not a curtain. We would like for the kids to have their own room and not have to sleep in the living room. We would like a decent dinette that seats 4. These seem like simple requests.

Are there suggestions as to which model might be a good move for us?

TIA
Currently looking for my next RV....

There really isn't a family benefit between a TT and 5er. It all comes down to the floodplan that's best for you and the family. We have an Outback 31RQS that ticks your boxes while having enough storage space to bring the house. They don't make this model anymore but there are likely other makes / models that have similar features.

The requirements that you've listed are quite modest and there are probably a lot of different models out there that can meet them. If you put together a more detailed list there are enough folks on this board to narrow down choices for you.

Eg. You have 2 kids? How old? Will they want to bring friends? Should they have their own bathroom? Solid door to their room too or is a curtain ok? Their own door to the outside? Do you watch much TV when you're camping? Do you need lots of storage space? Are you tall (over 6' 2" or so)? Would you want an outside kitchen or shower? Whatever else you think is important.

I have a Crossroads ST29SS that that has its own bunk room with a door and has 3 full bunks and either a 4th smaller bunk or a JR dinette. They also have a TV hook up in back. The master has 2 accordion style doors. The main dinette is quite large.
