For the Cybertruck crowd; Looks like Tesla has put in a permit to add an additional 80 V3 Superchargers in addition to the 18 V3's that are already at Harris Ranch in Coalingua California. As well, Volkswagen added 2 more "Electrify America" public chargers for a total of 6. If everything happens as per permit requests that would be 104 total EV fast charging stations.
The new V3's will be located closer to the truck area and their is scuttlebutt that there may also be 1/2 a dozen Megachargers for the Tesla semis but there is nothing on the permit about that. It is following the firebaugh model and should all be under a solar canopy and use on site battery storage to reduce grid demand.
Although this is clearly aimed at the Sacramento, San Francisco to LA commuter crowd it should also provide a handy stop for EV RVers that will need a "fill up". A certain percentage will be Tow vehicle and trailer accessible. This should take some pressure of the other SUperchargers on that route which get pretty busy on Fridays and Sundays.
The first picture is from the existing 18 stations they had added some V2 stations. It is closer to the restaurants. They are slower and should allow 30 to 40 minutes to eat while charging. Almost all are vehicle only stalls except four and those can only handle smaller 20 foot trailers without blocking the lane. OK for Tesla SUV's pulling little trailers...like maybe max 20 feet. The longer pull thrus will definitely be welcome.
This second one is Volkswagens public stations but doesn't show the last two additions. I can't remember if any are truck trailer accessible...maybe. Important for Rivian truck and SUV drivers, hummers towing etc.
They also have a hydrogen fuel refill station there. I've never seen it used but it has been there a few years so I'm sure someone is using it. Toyota Mirais etc.
This one shows the map indicating where the new stations will go. Most of the time we have been there that area has been empty other than the odd semi getting some Z's overnight.
I'm thinking that Harris Ranch must be tickled pink. Great for business. Think they might need to add another restaurant. Great location. We have stayed there a couple times.

Anyways when you are towing with a Tesla and want to supercharge do you dolly off your trailer or jack knife in the end charger or what?

Yes and No. The newest Superchargers have some spots set up for vehicles towing. Some of the older ones as well but they are more of a pull in, back out situation and limit the trailer length to about 20 ish feet...which is probably practical for the SUVโs towing presently. It will will need to be better for the cybertruck.
This next one is a pull in back out site. There is usually one or two at the older superchargers.

Well, I don't think there will ever be a need for anywhere near as many fast charge stations as gas stations as the vast majority of charging is done at home in driveways or garages like we do at home in our garage
or our driveway.
Beats the hell out of hanging around a gas station.
