Just curious how many miles y’all have racked up on your tow vehicle and what kind it is? Need some reassurance on my 01’ Silverado 1500 266,650 Miles on her original drive train and still pulling my trailer like a champ!

1965 Chevy Van, 90,000 miles since installing 292, TH350 in '88. Probably over 250,000 total.

1994 GMC k-1500 Suburban, 144,000, only about 6,000 towing since purchased in 2017. Was a one owner, garaged only driven 6,000 miles a year, so looks pristine. Have had to make many small upgrades to get the weak 350 to be able to tow around 5500 lbs. I think the 6 cyl 292 is a better tow motor.

OK, I'll bite, a Ford with a Cummins engine?

I purchased a '89 Dodge with a Cummins diesel that had 271,000 miles on the odometer. I put the engine and transmission in my '79 F250. I just looked at the odometer in the Ford and see I have driven 47,000 miles since I put the engine in, so I have closer to 318,000 miles on it now.

Truck in my sig has 94,000 miles. Bought it new in 06, used it as a daily driver until I retired in 08. Now it mostly tows our camper, and goes to the lumberyard or landscaping supply now and then.

Search, Fummins. It's a very popular conversion. I even entertained doing it to my Excursion to get rid of the V-10 but I was done with the SUV and no longer needed the room, so I decided to get myself a present.

On a side note a 79 Ford with a 5.9 Cummins sounds sweet!!

39K on a 2005 8.1L Silverado. Working to increase that because the truck will rot away before wearing out.

I've had to replace the oil pressure sender and MAF in the past couple years, obviously due to age and not "use".
