I've replaced my rubber gasket on my Tetford 510P porcelain toilet
only to find it is not tight enough.
The documentation calls to adjust 2 screws for best fit but doesn't explain what the screw mechanism does nor which way to turn the screws any help is appreciated.to tighten.

I will assume that adjusting the valve screws will tighten the ball clockwise.

There is a torque spec on the band clamp for the Traveler toilet. It is listed in your owners manual. Something like 65 inch pounds if I remember correctly.

Don't know about any Tetford 510P

But on the Sealand Traveler 510P
There is a band clamp that connects bowl to pedestal
There are couple screws that secure lower base cover (on top models)
There are couple screws that attach water valve assembly
There are a couple of hold down bolts on floor flange

Righty-tighty/lefty-loosey (unless it a specialty...as in left hand threaded)
Is it time for your medication or mine?
