Is cargo camera useful for loading TC?

Hi - will be buying my first TC shortly but right now I'm getting my order together for a new Ram 3500 dually. One of the options is a cargo camera that is mounted on the 3rd brake light and displays on the rear view mirror. Is this something that folks find useful when loading the TC on the truck or not so much? If its helpful I don't mind paying for the option but never having loaded a TC I don't know if its worth it or not. Thanks...

I don't have one but don't think it will be usefully. With a duelly and my AF1150 I was taught to look over the left shoulder and be sure the bed rails line up with the "ridge that goes over the wheels" on the camper. That works very nicely.

Is that camera tiltable?
I played with lot of cameras on RV and the only really usable for loading/hooking up is very wide angle pointed down.
If the camera at the cab roof-line looks at the center of the bed, all you will see loading the camper will be white panel on front of the camper, or the window.
I am shopping around for new truck and even the camera option sounds good, they usually are $600 option, when I can buy $100 camera on ebay that will allow me hooking up my videos to the screen as well.

Funny how driving without a camera for 40 years has conditioned me. Now that we have a car with the camera, I don't feel comfortable depending on it, so, I still prefer to look over my shoulder.

It could be useful, but really not exceptional. I think the camera on the rear of the TC, mounted high, is exceptionally useful.I really appreciate mine when backing up, and towing my Samurai. If the Ram monitor allows for a second camera, I would be more excited.

I have the tailgate one, but not the cargo. Wish I did have it. you can watch stuff blowing out of your bed, hooking up my 5th wheel, and I bet it might help backing onto a camper.

I wish I could leave my camera on while driving.
