Keystone Outback Travel Trailer

Considering a 2019 Keystone Outback rear den model. Read a lot of material on them and from experience know any travel trailer is hit or miss but would like to hear from any forum members who may own one of the Outback models.

Appreciate any input.

Hmmm thought RVs were wise investments, huh.

Hahahaha. Amazing how those price tags can make the present camper look soooo much better!

Update - well after driving a couple of hours to actually see the unit the consensus from the family is that what we have currently is pretty nice and when you compare the pros and cons of changing we wouldnโ€™t really gain from spending the money for a new unit. Looks like weโ€™re going to stay with the 2015 Sierra 5th we currently have for a few more years. Once it really is just the two old people:) left weโ€™ll look for a couples unit.

We have a 298RE we bought new in 2011. It gets lots of use, has probably 150k + and we love it. It spends 6-8 months a year on the road.
Weโ€™ve had two problems worth mentioning. The seal around the cabinet in the outdoor kitchen wasnโ€™t sealed and it leaked bad. By the time I figured it out I had softened some of the floor under the kitchen sink. The second one was a broken A-frame, which was probably as much my fault as it was Keystones. I have a tendency to pack heavy and it really wasnโ€™t built for off road; but I was!
All in all weโ€™re really happy with it. Weโ€™ve thought about a new one but canโ€™t find a floor plan that is even close to as comfortable as this one is for us. For the most part itโ€™s a well built unit that was originally equipped with an underrated set of tires. Pretty typical

I think weโ€™re going to end up making this work but I havenโ€™t found a seat in the corner shower yet. Maybe I should have said rounded shower. Going to physically check it out on Saturday.

Iโ€™ll post an update if we pull the trigger.

I think you're right, that particular shower doesn't seem to have the corner seat. Still, from what I saw today at the Seattle RV show, the corner shower is deeper and wider than the rectangular types .

Corner showers are the best! Lots of elbow room and space to get things done. Wives tend to like the corner seats.

we've had a 2011 outback 295RE since new. We put about 5K miles/year on it, and 60 days or so of use/year, including some trips with grandkids, Daughter SiL et.

Trailer has been absolutely trouble free, still looks like new inside. As far as the shower/bathroom in the 295RE it's been fine for us. Not overly large but large enough for our needs.

Lol,not personal.

The bathroom was an actual selling point for wife, wanted glass doors and she wanted it close to bedroom.

We have no issues with shower size but admit we're both fairly thin.

One more question if you donโ€™t mind. The only concern Iโ€™ve found with the floor plan is the shower. We will be moving from a 5th wheel with a residential shower. Not trying to get personal but have found the shower in the OB to be adequate?

Thanks for the feedback. It is the 341rd which looks like a great floor plan. Enough sleeping space when the kids go with us and a nice couples unit when it is just the two of us.

If your talking about the 341, we highly considered that trailer but our dedicated trailer location was to confined for 34ft.

We ended up with a 2020 Outback 252urs.
We've owned several trailers over the years and had family members with Outbacks, nice trailers IMO.

Likely more Keystones running the road than any other manufacturer so many many reviews on Keystone products.

Apon inspecting every inch of our Outback, we are quite pleased and got what we wanted.

Happy travels.
