Let's talk tank size...

I think the wife and I have decided on the Mesa Ridge 310bhs tt. My only concern is the 31gal black tank. Is this tank large enough in your opinions? I know usage may very, but general we camp for 4-6 days at a time.

This is an important consideration and can make a BIG difference in how fast the "black" tank fills up.

Don't assume; find out for sure what, if anything, goes in there in addition to the stool.

Usage does vary, but I think you would be good for a week. Shower and sink water usually empty into the grey tank..

I had 4 people for three day weekend, everyone using the bathroom whenever needed. After three full days, Black tank still not full. 30 gal black tank.

Have 45 gal grey water tank. Four adults, shower each nite, did NOT take combat showers. Grey tank reached 2/3 mark at end of third full day. So, 12 showers over three days, not a problem.

I think you'll be fine with a 31 gal Black Tank for two adults for 4-6 days.

31 for black would be good. I personally would always rather have more fresh and more grey.

4 people, 30 gallons, and never an issue. Of course, we shower at the camp showers, and usually do our #2 there during the day.
