Lippert shock kit installed on Grand Design 2800BH

It was easy. 1 hour 12 minutes for one side. I did only one side to make sure this all worked and to address and issues. Well, there were no issues but I did make one slight mistake. The shock should be mounted to the axle plate closest to the equalizer in the center. I followed internet pictures vs the instructions. After the fact, I see there is more movement of the axle closest to the center equalizer for the shock to help control. Thus for best performance...follow the instructions.

Top mount does require a slight mod not included in my install time. Cut off a large corner section to fit within the I-beam frame.

Nice to hear from someone who has done this. I've been tempted but I'm not sure what type frame it's on. The belly is covered so that has been a major deterrent. Would really like to know your opinion on how they perform after you've put a few miles on them.

Me too!

We've got a full 3 week, 5,000 mile round trip next June. You bet I'll have a report to share.

Looks great!

I'd love to do this on my trailer but I lack the clearance between the brake drum and the frame.
