Manual Slide Operation

My buddy just purchased a used 2011 Cruiser View Finder V21FB and was headed for the lake. Yep had his first blow-out. Took out his wiring to his slide out. He's trying or wanting to open slide manually but does not know where to look. Any help or suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

I have an outside access door where the switch is located to disable the motor. In this same area is where the manual override nut is located.

Is it a switch or lever to disengage the happy jack? I hope it's not a switch because with his wires torn up a switch isn't going to help. I guess the designers didn't plan this one too well.

You most likely have a Happyjac. There should also be a switch that disables the motor which must be done before doing the manual override.

Thanks you have been very helpful. The way his slide is working, it seems it is the Schwintek. Can get one side to move, but other is solid not moving. Weather has turn to heavy rain, stopped messing with it so he'll go by local RV repair place in the morning. Again Thanks....

Depending on the manufacture of the slide, I know of two manufactures and each has a different procedure for overriding the motor.

Schwintek has two motors and they must be disengaged from the slide. Once disengaged you physically push the slide either in or out.

Happyjac there is usually an override switch to disengage the power to the slide motor and then you have a manual crank that is used to move the slide.
