Memory seats make some sense to me with a couple of drivers. The easy entry/exit thing makes no sense at all, though. What benefit is that? Especially in something like a truck with plenty of space.
The benefit is your seat surface will last longer as your not having to slide on the seat when you enter the vehicle. Also it simply makes entering easier.

Bigger question is why are you driving a minivan? 🙂

Seems some are confusing memory with easy entry.
Memory is when I set my seat the way I like in my truck and wife sets it they way she likes it. When she drives she pushes "2" and the seat , pedals, etc go to her setting. Then when I drive I push "1" and they all go back to my driving set up.
Easy entry is when the seat slides back on it's own after you turn off the vehicle to supposedly make it easy to get in or out. Just a waste of time in my opinion. Wife has it in her Grand Cherokee. I find it annoying.

I don't plan to own another vehicle without them. I am 6-04, my lovely bride is 5-03 on her tallest of days. Her minivan has the memory seats and it has potentially saved our marriage!

I use mine. When I shut off my truck the seat retracts to it's rear position and when starting my truck it moves forward to it's set position. This has been working for 9.5 years and not a single issue with this feature to date.
