Memory seats

Anyone that has the memory seat feature in their vehicle. Do you use it or do you have it disabled? I've been using mine but got to wondering whether the constant use of the seat motor when you enter and exit would wear out the motor faster. My previous vehicle had power seats but not the memory feature so I just set it and never moved the seat again.

I don't see how the fore and aft location of the seat has any bearing on how much I slide on the it - there's plenty of room between the seat and steering wheel in my default driving position. I'm relatively tall and thin so maybe that's why it's never been an issue for me.

HA! Clearly you've never driven one, or you wouldn't be asking. 3 kids, plenty of headroom for me, heated and vented seats, heated steering wheel, good gas mileage, storage room for baseball/softball equipment, a folding chair for my bride and a stroller for the baby. Drives smooth, has a nice sound system too!

I have zero shame in my game, I've got 3 kids and I'm too tall to have a car seat crammed behind me in most 4 door cars.

I like the fact that there is less sliding of my posterior on the leather with this feature.

Seems some are confusing memory with easy entry.
Memory is when I set my seat the way I like in my truck and wife sets it they way she likes it. When she drives she pushes "2" and the seat , pedals, etc go to her setting. Then when I drive I push "1" and they all go back to my driving set up.

Easy entry is when the seat slides back on it's own after you turn off the vehicle to supposedly make it easy to get in or out. Just a waste of time in my opinion. Wife has it in her Grand Cherokee. I find it annoying.

I love both features AND in all my vehicles when the vehicle is unlocked, it knows which remote was used and adjusts the seats to the memory position set for that remote. don't even have to push the memory button. seat, pedals, outside mirrors, steering wheel, audio system is all set to my preference by the time the door is opened.

truck nice but not as big a deal as a car. But still easy exit on my denali puts the steering wheel up and in, seat all the way back. Same on my Acura MDX hybrid. That is nice, especially for DW who is short and has the seat quite far forward.

No problem with memory seats here. Wifey's old 2000 MBZ (sold it) and 2005 F150 were mighty fine and had no issues, even the must have butt warmers functioned perfectly.

Just bought a new Buick with all those features. Our first vehicle in almost 20 years. I’m going to use the heck out of those new features.

We have the same in our 2011 F350 and to date, no problems.
