My family and I are ready to move up from tent camping. We have looked some but need some suggestions.

Tow vehice is a 2500 HD chevy truck.

This is what we WANT in our camper:
* DRY weight 4000lbs or UNDER
* length less that 28 feet
* sleeps at least 6 regular sized people.(2 adults, 2 teen girls and 2 teen boys)

This is what we DO NOT WANT in our camper:
* The floor plan where the sofa is at the foot of the queen bed, and it is rear facing. A friend has this floorplan and everytime someone sits on the sofa you have to step over them to go in and out door.
* A dinette that is too short to be a bed for adults

Slide is optional but I know it adds extra weight.

We know that we can tow more than this but we want to be able to travel everywhere with the camper.

Thanks so much!!!

I'm a LITTLE concerned that you are setting limits on your DRY weight but leaving the ACTUAL wweight unspecified. Remember NOBODY drags around a completely empty trailer and THAT is what the term "Dry Weight" means. FAR better to determine the limit you actually want to tow (GVWR or something close to it.

KZ Spree has a couple interesting models, but in the 4300-5000 pound dry range. 220KS, 240BHS. Spree Escape E243 and E250 meet your requirements, but those have very low CCC.

Funfinder F-262BHS is perfect except I think it's about 4600 pounds dry.

Heartland North Trail Focus FX235 and T225 are also a bit heavier.

Keystone PAssport 238 and 252.

Thanks!

The funfinder didn't really have what I wanted but I did find a Lance that looks perfect!

The Lance 2185 seems great!!
