New to TT looking for opinions on setup

Hello, looking at buying a 26ft Kodiak TT and have a few questions. My TV is 04 Escalade ESV (6.0liter with 3.73 Rear). I have brake controller installed and will do a wdh and antisway setup. I would guess this would pull without any issues. Heck, TV is just over 19ft long. Just want to get some opinions before I spend the money.
Thanks
Tom

Tongue weight of the trailer is added to cargo and people in the Truck. With 1200lbs minimum of gear and people, you add 900lbs tongue weight. Now you have 2100 lbs with a payload of 1380lbs. If those are the numbers, you will be out of payload with just cargo, people, and the weight of the hitch, before you even hook up the trailer.

Ok, here is the info from the Escalade:
Max Trailer Wt. = 8100lbs
GCWR = 14000lbs
GVWR = 7200lbs
GAWR FRT = 3550lbs
GAER RR = 4000lbs

Thanks for helping me out with this.
Guessing on passenger and luggage I would guess 1200-1500lbs approx. in the TV.

Ok. Your payload is maximum 1380lbs. Assuming max hitch weight of 15% = 900lbs, you limit your cargo and people in the TV to 480lbs. Max tow is 7700lbs. At the 80% rule the trailer GVWR should be 6160lbs. These are estimates based on available info. Can you get the actual payload off the yellow sticker inside the drivers door on the Caddy, and how many people and weights will be riding?

A 6.0 should be an 8 cylinder engine so you should be able to pull the Kodiak with no problems. It will lug some on hills but that is to be expected with most tow vehicles and travel trailers. You are spot on with getting a good WDH with built in sway control. Make the towing experience much more enjoyable.

I believe the Escalade is 7700lbs and the TT (from online resesrch) is 4300lbs. I will verify this tomorrow.
Thanks

True...as far as I can see the trailer has a 6600 GVWR.
What are the towing and payload specs for your Escalade?
