Newer Trucks with worse suspension for hauling truck camper?

Maybe it's an incorrect observation, but it seems RAM owners are more unhappy with their trucks hauling TCs than any other brand. I'm puzzled by this, but maybe it's just a small sample or a vocal minority.

Answer this survey, of the trucks you had, what brand was it and how happy were you with it hauling your TC. I'll go first.

'06 Ford F350 4x4 SRW SC 6.0 (fine for a SRW with minor mods)
'10 Ford F450 4x4 DRW CC 6.4 (seems fine to me with minor mods)

'10 Ford F-450, 6.4, 4.30, 4x4, 14,500 GVWR, '06 Host Rainer 950 DS, Torklift Talon tiedowns, Glow Steps, and Fastguns. Bilstein 4600s, Firestone Bags, Toyo M655 Gs, Curt front hitch, Energy Suspension bump stops.

I am extremely happy with 2017 F350 dually.
Did use my 6000+ lb camper with no modification before, but now for cross-country trip I added double hockey pucks to top overload spring - "just in case"
That mostly for the rare occasion when I might have to drive with some waste in rear holding tanks, what in the past increased propositioning.

94 Dodge Ram/cummins std cab long bed; 2003 Bigfoot 10.6
Air bags, anti sway, rancho shocks. Camper was ordered sans genset, air conditioning to save as much weight as possible. Set up worked ok. Camper still a bit heavy for truck.

2004 Dodge Ram/Cummins dually longed crew cab. Anti sway, rancho shocks, air bags with 2006 Arctic fox 1150. This set-up put me about 1,000 pounds overloaded per sticker for cargo weight.. Air bags kept the truck level. Ride o.k. but not great.

2017 Dodge Ram/Cummins dually long bed crew cab factory air ride bone stock. Same Arctic Fox 1150. New truck handles TC much better. I am right at max cargo weight but well under axles and tire weights. The air ride works well and I love the factory exhaust brake. We purchased this truck beginning of April and headed straight for Alaska. We have almost 7,000 miles on it now on rough roads and dirt roads. Making a comparison to our last truck was easy as we had just returned from a long trip south through Arizona in the '04

Very happy Ram owner here through the years. All the trucks, but especially this 2017.
