Hi All, Just got back from 5 week trip out west, great trip, some how coming back the wireing harness got wedged under the hitch and wore through to some of the wires. after opening the harness and repairing the damage all seemed to be ok ,lights, turn, flashers, but no brakes.
checked fuse in TV 07 trailblazer but found ok. checked power at harness plug and controller seems to be working ok,trailer life brake force. I rechecked the wires again and could not find any more damage, could there be something in the trailer, 1999 prowler lite that could be reset? nothing in the manual, don`t know where else to look????? Thanks for any help.

Must be another fuse or circuit breaker in the tow vehicle. The trailer brakes get their power from the tow vehicle.

Did you actually replace the TV fuse just to be sure? Also do you have a test light or meter or second trailer that you cna see if you still have 12v at the plug?

X2 you can not tell if a fuse is good just buy looking at it. Often a fuse can have a broken connection and appear to be good. You can check a fuse for continuity or just replace it.

Your test light will tell you if you are sending 12V from the controller to the TT. If so then you need to start following the wires to the wheels.

Another problem that can occur is if power has been left on for a substantial time is the magnets get burnt out.
