Hi. I'm a newbie here. My wife and I are looking at a Palomino Stampede s-238. We love the look and the options. What I want to know from all Palomino owner is the good the bad and the ugly. What problems have you had if any and what you tow with. I'm looking for as much information as I can get. Thanks for your input.

I have a Palomino S-17 that I tow with a Toyota 4-Runner 6 cyc. The only issue I had was the front bunk gasket that had to replaced by the dealer and I have had to re-caulk the front bunk as well. I also had to add some dowels under the shelf located between the bench area and the front bunk. It was replaced due to water damage but the dw puts too much weight there trying to climb in to bed. I also had to replace the cabinent door under the stove (both the large one and the small one). Then I had to add an additional spring clamp because the one on the bottom is not strong enough to hold it in position durning transit. So I added another one towards the top. I also had to add some finishing nails agound the wall of the cabinent (left side when facing the stove). The cabinent wall popped out from under the stove area. Also had to have the shower facet fixture replaced (dealer) due to a leak.

I can't think of anything else at this time. All in all I like the unit, although it is a little small, we don't use the table that comes with it. We use tv trays, that way I can move around my 120lb lab a little easier.

I think my next unit will have one bunk area and maybe a slide out (if they make such a thing).
