I was out of town today and happened on a little used dealership in a small town.Had a couple of units that were of interest.A 2009 Palomino thouroghbred elite and a 2016 Heartland Mallard. Both seemed to be in great shape(i would think the 16 would be) and seems priced right (13 grand and 23 grand respectivly)Anyone have any good, bad or ugly to say of either?

We have a 2015 Heartland Mallard M28 and it's been a great trailer. It's the same, to my knowledge, as the Wilderness series by Heartland. The Mallards are branded and sold exclusively through Camping World.

Palomino Thoroughbred!

My second TT was a Palomino Thoroughbred. IMHO it was the dang best well built trailer. The Mallard isn't even close in quality irregardless of what year it is.

I'm just sorry I sold mine. I've been looking around for another one.

I have a 2008 Palomino Thoroughbred, very happy with it. Like it so much, I traded it in 2010 for a Class A and repurchased the exact same fifth wheel in 2015. I have a 2500 HD Dodge Ram, Hemi, I use for the TV. Great match.
