Popout rip in vinyl

Hi- this is my first post...

Just bought a 2009 Jayco X19h Hybrid and I noticed when winterizing there is a split in the vinyl where it's screwed to the trailer.
I'm thinking of some epoxy and a few small screws to seal it and stop the vinyl from developing a "run" and splitting more.

My question is- has anyone cam across this type of repair and have any suggestions?

One thing is the new "no jumping on the bed" rule for our 6 year old daughter.

thanks

Mike

The plastic molding piece is replaceable. I would call Jayco and see if that part is available and purchase it take the tent to a local sew shop and have it replaced. Really inexpensive and your tent will be just like new.

Jayco has a 5 year Limited Warranty on their tent ends. Would suggest you contact a Jayco dealer or call customer service for details. I do not know if the warranty is for the original owner or for the used buyer. Might be worth a phone call.

just guessing here but I think I would use Marine goop, 3M 5200, et.al. or similar instead of epoxy if I was going to "glue" it.
