The tire salesperson asked me if I was sitting down when he gave me the price of Toyo M55 tires with steel side walls. $306.50. Those were the commercial 10 ply. The price on the Open Country with poly side walls were $250.
Just got home from town. Stopped by Les Schwab and priced the M 55 I want for the TT. LT225/75R-16. $245.

I just put my second set on my Ford 1 month ago and 4 M-55's mounted and balanced with tax was $1700.00 out the door they are big bucks but they are like semi tires my last one's were 8yrs old and probably could of went another year Will buy again when needed ๐
I just put on new MT's at just under $500 each and they are not 19.5!!
IMHO the M 55 is still worth it. I ran them on my 05 CTD dually. Awesome in any weather, any terrain. (They were also siped). Currently saving up for a set to replace the Maxis ST on my TT.
Second to NONE!!

I liked the m55's when I was running them got good mileage out of them tough as nails good in snow. When I first bought them I got them for around 220 ea. When I went to replace them they were over 250 and I passed. Checked on them again about a year ago and they were up to $330
Unfortunately that sounds about right. If your size is available I would suggest the Open Country, it is a very strong tire with a smoother ride. The M55 has a very stiff sidewall, an unladen truck will crow hop on wash board.
