Pump question?

Howdy folks. I've been gone for a while but I'm back now and I've got a question about my water pump.
We've had our Rockwood 8315BSS for 4 years this month and we've never used the water tank before since we've always been hooked to the campground water. We plan on taking some trips in the near future where there won't be any water to hook to so this past weekend I filled the water tank and turned the pump switch on the control panel and turned on the water faucet to try it out and nothing happened. The pump is not running. What dumb thing have I forgotten to do?

Thanks in advance.

Golly, if you have never used it since it was new there is a slight chance it is stuck. Not a very good chance but, it always makes me feel better when I get to bang on something. Might try turning on that switch and hitting the pump with the handle of a big old heavy screwdriver or something like that. Don't hit the plastic part though. Just bang on the metal casing .

I checked for valves near the pump yesterday evening when I got back to the trailer and there are no valves to be seen near the pump. The pump is underneath one of the cabinets in the bathroom and all that is in there is the pump, water filter, and lines and no valves.
I'll check for power at the pump when I bring my tester back next week.
Your Rockwood comes standard with water bypass valves according to the sales brochure. Check adjacent to the water heater.

All my valves are located near the water tank.

Ding! I think you're on to something. I hadn't thought of that. I'll check and see when I get home from work tonight. Thanks.

Has the pump ever worked? Check fuses? Do you have power to the switch? Do you have power to the pump?

It's never been used since it was new. I didn't have my tester with me to see if there was power to the pump or not. Fuses looked good. Evidently there's power to the switch since the light came on when I flipped the switch.
