Questions Re:Lance Max 981 on new truck

Hello all, been some time since I've posted here.

I have a 2007 Lance Max 981 that was setup for my previous 2002 F350 Crew Cab SRW. I now have a 2016 F350 Crew Cab DRW. The pigtail from the camper is the proprietary Lance "Bargman?" plug. The pigtail possibly has a bad connection as the camper lights flicker if the pigtail is jostled.

New truck has the standard Ford 7 blade plug in the bed of the truck. How do I convert? Where are the pigtail connections inside the camper so I can check for the bad connection? I'd like to swap out the entire pigtail for one that will plug into the Ford outlet in the bed.

Second question. Who makes the best swing out brackets for the Atwood jacks as I need the brackets now for the DRW.

Thanks in advance.

I’d start with just a 7 way plug if you don’t mind losing the “better” charging of the Lance plug. Most auto parts places sell them. You can find the wiring diagrams usually in the package, but if you take your time, you can easily get it set up without the diagram. There are also conversion diagrams for Lance plugs.

As far as swing out brackets are concerned, I don’t think one is better than the other but the hole patterns are different. The ones I bought when going from SRW to DRW are universal which means they work, but are longer than really required.
