Ram 3500 questions? Help me .

I've been racking my brain on what truck to get. I know I'm getting a Ram 3500 Lariamie. I would probably just get the srw if it was available with a 3.73 rear but it has to be a dually to get that. I have a brand new one with 4.11 rears now but the noise at 60 to 70 mph is very annoying to me I'm told the noise is less with the 3.73 gears or should I just get the srw with the 3.42 rear and like a 20 inch wheel bit it doesn't have overload springs either. Also anyone who has a like truck can you tell me your mile per gallon. Still pulling the fuzion in the signature. Thanks in advance.

Well we drove around Surprise shopping for 1-2 hours and mileage on EVIC dropped to 21 MPG. On the way home today it went back up to 22.4 or so. So, if I fueled now it should be at least 21 MPG hand calculated. Again speed was 65 MPH on CC.

Fueled up today on this tank of fuel with 400+ miles. 19.1 hand cal'd MPG. Lie-o-meter was 20.9.

Chris

DUDE! You need a Dually with 4.10's so you can get at least 20mpg!

Yeah, I know! Then I can also park at the far ends of WM lots when I purchase Peak Blue DEF and get more exercise at the same time.

:B :B :B

BTW, you should try a tank of local driving not in TH and see if your mileage goes up. Maybe not 20 MPG, but might improve!

Had 2014 Ram 3500 and had so many problems and with all the recalls, decided to sell it. Covert Chrysler and Ram were ablsolutely of no help and that is why I got rid of Ram.
Will never do business with Covert or Ram again.
Personally I did like the Ram, but with all the issues, my wife and I did not feel safe pulling our DRV.

Well,my 2014 has been pretty trouble free other then a couple of emission issues. If I had much more then what I have had , along with the seventh recall still pending, I too would probably feel the same.

Sounds about right, best I have done is 21.3 at 55-60 mph. 60-70 usually 18-19

Fwiw, update. The srw towed the Fuzion well. I was surprised, we went from Rock Hall, MD to Disney World. Checked 2 tanks at 9.4 mpg at least 1 mpg better than the old truck. However the pee-pee is a bit of a pita.

Wow, I fueled up yesterday and this morning we drove from Phoenix East Valley to the West valley and lie-o-meter was reading over 24 MPG. 60-70 MPH. At 38k maybe it is getting broken in. Chris

Tail wind. :B

I do not think so, I was however using the go pedal vs the cruise control most of the way do to the traffic. Will be interesting to see the mileage tomorrow go back home.

I was messing with you. I do know these trucks with 3.42's get great mileage!

Ok, the dealer said they were talking with Chrysler and they were told it's exhaust. Drone. My main problem was it wasn't constant, woom woom woom, Tuesday they drove another truck to my house srw and said try it. I really like this one but it doesn't have a sun roof and I think for the 3 days a year I can use it , I'm going to not worry about it. Thanks again for your input everyone.
