So I searched around but I didn't find a place to put what kind of upgrades people have done to their tow vehicles found the one for your RV.
Well we had bought a new 2016 Ram 3500 Big Horn and we liked slot of its design and what they called extras. Come to find out their extras are pretty lame.
So I upgraded a few details that they either forgot or just weren't thinking when designing it.
They put a little bitty light in the mirrors to shine down for you when you come to your truck at night. But at night it does nothing for you. Specially for the rear door. Now I know my kids and they are ok and yeah they aren't to coordinated and have missed the step. So I ordered LED lights and rewired it so when you unlock the doors they turn on and illuminate the rails. (They sent me wrong color)
Yes my truck stays covered even in the garage.
Next they called it in bed lighting and installed two LED lights near the tailgate. Problem is the don't light up much and only light up when the door unlock button is pressed or in cab button. Pain in the butt. So I bought two strands of weather proof LED daylight colored and mounted them under the rails and a magnetic sensor on the tailgate. Open the tailgate they come on.
Also added some extra backup lights as even with their camera having night vision it wasn't to good. Now can see great.
Then inside you would think that wth all the tech we have today they would have put in a more convenient way to charge devices. Since they have that nice new holder for the phones now. But nope let's hide it in the center console. So I removed the stock cigarette lighter in the console and replaced it with a blue sea 12volt USB charger and changed it around so it stays on and charges instead of off and on with key like all the others.
And with all the added crud my kids want to bring I added an extra charging port as the one port in the back just won't do for them.
And lastly as we are both a little short I added a ladder to the tailgate since Ram doesn't include one like fords do
And then all the extra stuff I ran to a weather proof box with a disconnect when not in use.
Im sure there will be more to come but it's a start.
