Rancho Shocks

Just wondering who makes these as I thought they were a Ford product used on their FX4 trucks, but have seen them on GM's too. I know they are not the greatest of shocks and thought it was odd to see them on GM's.

I also switched from Rancho to Bilstein's on our 2001 chev dually. Maybe just because but Bilstein's on 05 chev.

Iโ€™m another Rancos to Bilstien user. Bilstien give me a better ride unloaded or loaded.

I've ran Rancho shocks on many vehicles over the years " mostly lifted " and have always been pleased with ride quality and durability.

Bilsteins get yanked shortly after new truck purchase for the better dampened Rancho. Imo

The Ranchos on my 2019 Z71 are junk as far as I'm concerned. I have always used Bilsteins

I remember being a kid, wanting a 4x4 with some rancho 5000s.
Wonder if they changed at all over the years.

I have and had Rancho shocks on vehicles for over 20 years. The Ranchos adjustable shocks we put on our bought new 2004.5 Chevy diesel truck just 2 months old in 2004 for hauling our heavy TC's are still on there today and still functioning as they should with over 200,000 miles on them. Had them checked late last fall before going to Florida for our annual 2-1/2 winter and visiting family stay.

Rust usually takes its toll on shocks after many years and to help deter rusting I had masked off the shock control areas of the 4 Ranchos and sprayed them with a very good undercoating aerosol can spray and let them sit in the sun for about 2 weeks to bake and dry so they could be handled. Yes, they are all still rust free today so it really works. It is the drying skin over undercoating not the sticky gooey tar stuff that stays sticky.

Rancho shocks are part of the Z71 package on Silverado's. I had them on my 2015 and I have them on my 2020
