Rockwood Mini Lite 2506S

Hello fellow RVers, I am new to all of this and I've been doing my research on what travel trailer is right for me. I have a few options, but this Mini Lite 2506S is looking like a winner. Does anyone have any pros or cons with this model?

I have a 2020 Toyota Tundra SR5 Crewmax 4x4 with the towing package as well as the offroad package. My towing capacity is 9200 lbs, so I am well within my 80% on that trailer.

I have a question though. I really want to get a larger trailer because I am going to live in it full time. (I work on a wind farm, so im thinking I will use my per diem on a trailer payment instead of a hotel). So my question is, will my truck be able to handle a longer trailer, like 30 feet? I found several lightweight ones thst I really like, but the length is intimidating. How dangerous is it to haul a 30 foot long trailer with my half ton truck down the highway? Is it harder or easier? And the 2506S is 26 ft i believe. Is the extra 4 feet really going to make a difference?

Read some of the other threads on here on towing to get an idea of what you can pull with your truck.
The Mini Lite would be no problem, but if you want a bigger one, you gotta do the math.
Payload matters more than tow weight.

I have a 2019 Rockwood 2511S, so pretty much the same 'weights', just a different floor plan..

So far, it's been a really good rig and enjoying the heck out of it when we can get out..

I tow it with a 2013 F150 Ecoboost and you know it's there, but it handles it fine.

I like the torque flex axles, aluminum wheels, theater seats...

Can't really comment on your Tundra's towing ability, or if you want to go up to a 30' TT.. This is the most I've towed with this truck and feel it can tow more, but at the expense of maybe being more maxed out than I'd care for and still enjoy the ride.. The trip is just as important to me as the destination, and if I ain't happy with the trip, I ain't gonna be happy when I get there...

Good luck! Mitch
