Roof leak at plug in for bunk light

I have a plug in jack in the ceiling by both bunk ends for a light/fan combo. We have had a water leak for a couple of months. We come out to trailer and find a small puddle on floor but have not until this weekend been able to find the source. The ceiling is not water stained. This weekend we were there during the rain and I some some drips from the plug in so I pull the cord out of the socket and a stream of water came down. We plan to go up on roof this week sometime as we didn't have a ladder with us on the weekend. Has this happened to anyone else? I am afraid it is coming in and travelling through the ceiling to the light socket and it will be difficult to find spot to seal.

Maybe check the upper clearance lights first.

See if there is water or moisture inside them. If that's the case, pop the lens off, remove the backing, clean and re-seal the backing to the camper, then clean and seal the lens (clear silicone).

buy some eternabond tape and look at your front seam where the roof meets the fiberglass in the front.

You might even find a soft spot in the roof. To fix it correctly, if one is found, replacement of the roof is the only sure fix. I lived it two years ago. Thought I had every ting sealed tight only to find that the slightest breach can be the culprit. Good luck and wish you a good out come.

Finding the actual leak source is a PIA - the actual source of the leak maybe far from where your seeing it from inside the rig. If it were me I would spend the $100 and have the rig pressure tested - that should identify all the places where your rigs leaking (don't be surprised if it's more than one place). Once the leaks have been identified you can determine whether you want to fix yourself or hire someone.

could be leaking from the roof, marker lights or the bunk end frame.
these are all areas you should check.
