On my 06 Wildwood, the edge trim pulled away from the roof for about 6 inches before it started around the front downward. I fixed the trim and sealed it up stopping the leak with some dicor sealant.
The question now is, what about the dampness inside the wall on the front of the camper. Do you just let it dry or what? I can feel some weakness in the wall on the inside near the top.

Use a dehumidifier.

Anytime I have had a leak I have opened up the area as much as possible to dry it out. It may require removing some wall board and/or insulation. I then place a small fan it the area and move as much air in/on or into the area. If you do not dry it mold will form. If you do not want to deconstruct your camper,at least put a fan in the area and try to move some air for a while. Getting into the area to see what is wet and see when it is dry is the BEST way to handle it.
