Solera Manual Awning coming loose.

I had an issue on the way home from our first outing a couple months ago. About an hour into our trip home the awning started to open up going down I75. No damage, i just pulled over as soon as i noticed and had to crank it in again. I think i had to stop a second time shortly after and then it was fine for the rest of the 3hrs home. is there something i should be doing to secure it? i don't see any locking mechanisms on the awning. The owners manual doesn't address the issue. My parents 1988 Barth motorhome has an awning with a lock. i guess i am used to manually locking the awning. Has anyone ran into this issue?

On our old Dometic, you needed to make sure the open/close lever was set to close. Don’t know about the Solera.
There are aftermarket straps to prevent the awning from opening while going down the road.
