Can someone please tell me how to store my new to me truck camper when I take it off the truck. Can I leave it on the jacks all the time or do I need to place something else underneath it. Any pics would help.

Thanks in advance for your time and advise.

When I had trucker camper I stored it on a two trailer I made. Stored trailer and camper in barn. Lots of cheap trailers that are not roadworthy on craigs list.

I empty all tanks before removing from truck. I lower the jacks until the rear bumper is only a few inches off of the ground. (It stuns me that people store with the jacks fully raised - even at a campground!) I place bricks under the jacks. I cover the camper with a 12 X 24 cheap Walmart blue tarp (lasts two or three years). I keep the unit plugged in for the batteries. Make sure that you have screens over the furnace and water/heater exhausts against mud daubers. This is what I've done for the 12 years that I've owned my Lance.

I use a pile of pallets in addition to the jacks. I should probably build something that takes up less room when no in use.

I use over rated Jack stands and 4x4s. Jack stands sit on 10x10x2 wood. Supported at locations per manufacturer recommendation. Very stable for Winter wind storms.

I always stored mine on four fuel drums with a street of plywood on top of them or two stacks of pallets. Still used the jacks for extra stabilization. I've seen jacks fail with all that weight, or sink into the ground during heavy rains. The jacks also aren't meant to handle heavy winds or snow load.

I was not the only one who observe floor separation while having the thing hanging on the jacks.
Now I support front of the camper with block of wood and 4x6. Not only hold front floor, where water tank is, but also keeps it steady.

The holding tanks should be supported internally and not resting on the bottom of the camper. That said, when I removed the botyom panel from my camper, I found the fresh water tank barely supported by two angle irons that were "secured" with a single bent screw at each end.

I stored mine on just the jacks for several years. It weighs about 3,500 pounds. But, we use it a fair amount at home. We use it as a guest suite, extra food storage, hiding from the kids, etc. So, I made a wooden prop for the front. This helps take some weight of the front jacks but mainly it takes out the sway and shake from waking around in it on the jacks.
Torklift makes a product called the Wobble Stopper. They do the same thing as my wooden prop and look better doing it. Also, their easier to store and transport. I have some and use them when I use the camper off the truck out camping. They make it solid as a rock when used off the truck. But, they don't take any weight off the jacks.
So, at home, I still use the wooden prop.

I always used blocks under it, but was told by a family member thtvhad a newer one, you don't need to. I was always under the line of thinking, that I wanted my floor supported.
