Do new TVs require converters for over the air signals ? We had to get them for the home cable. My hockey team, the Canucks, went out in four straight, so I don't really need TV this coming long weekend. The TT came set for TV, but didn't have one. So I bought a 19"TV/DVD expecting a good playoff run.

To add to OLD BISCUITs comment The Digital CONVERTER for the older analog TVs convert the very nice digital TV signal back to analog. You sure miss out of a very nice TV signal when doing this. It's best to just trash the old analog TV's and buy new ones that are HDTV ready.

New TV's have digital tuners so if it is NEW it would not need the converter box.

Old analog TV's needed the converter box to receive/view the broadcast digital signal
