Torklift tie downs and quick connect update

I have a little info on Torklift tie downs. I recently went from my 2011 chevy 3500 srw long bed to a 2017 3500 srw long bed pickup. I was disappointed when I called torklift and tech support told me they hadn't been about to confirm fit for the tie downs. When I bought my new truck I knew I would simply get my tie downs from torklift. Boy was I surprised.

Well I hoped I could make my 2011's fit my 2017. I was able to. The front tie downs fit perfectly, with no mods. On the rear tie downs I had to bore out the holes on the frame mounts but after that I was able to install them. They were a little bit of a pain but fit and work perfectly now.

I also switched my quick connect stable loads over to my 2017. They fit perfectly. Before I switched them over I thought I would try my new truck without them. I was almost instantly reminded of why I love these things. The difference in handling with the lower quick connect stable loads is truly amazing. The lower stable loads raised the rear of my truck about 1 1/4 inches when loaded reduced rocking and swaying very very effectively.

So to sum up, I love Torklift products from their tie downs to their fastguns and quick connect stable loads. But come on guys don't leave us Chevy truck owners in the dark! Are the 2018 model years out yet......

Please report back to Torklift your findings. They will put the info in their files and it will help others like you. And they may even send you a free coffee mug or hat for your troubles.

They worked with me beyond expectations when I had a new model they thought they had checked out. We sent numerous emails and pictures back/fort to work out a new design which they shipped overnight. Being an engineer with fabrication experience, I was able to provide detailed pictures and measurements to rectify the problem.

They are slow with the new models because they have to have each vehicle brought in to test fit on. If you are in the area, they will usually do the install for free if your particular model hasn't been tested yet. And even the same model has slight variation which they have to deal with.

Torklift follows rv net. I figure they will read this thread. This will give them a heads up. I had all ready let the tech guy know I was a little disappointed that there was nothing matching my truck. That was a couple months ago.

I just installed the steel tie downs on my truck and purchased the Fast Guns. I was happy with the ease to install and have been happy with Torklift's products and customer service. We pick up our TC on Saturday so I will get a first hand experience using them.

They seem to be slow to deal with new models. No Talons for mine yet, so I had to go with steel. No Hidden Power yet either. I don't see any 2018s in the guide.
