Going to be programming my TPMS and was wondering what number you guys and gals use as the high limit of the temperature alarm. Since I am not sure what it is set at now I want to go back into the unit and set it or at the very least double check it.

Thanks in advance for all of the help. It is greatly appreciated.

TST tells you to leave it at 158 unless you have specific numbers that you know you want.
I left mine at the 158 number.

My TST TPMS came preset to 158 degrees F, and I left it there. It did alarm for temperature once. I had a brake drum dragging and it saved me from an RV fire. I had Ford replace the brakes on that tire and have had no further alarms.

I figure that driving 65mph on a 100 degree day, the tires get to 110 or so. That means less than 50 degrees more to alarm.

I didn't know mine had an upper temp setting. Maybe I should go look. That would be handy as I look at the temp all the time, hoping a fried bearing would raise the temp.
