Travel Trailer Cover

Hi All. Currently we are saving to build a pole barn to cover the travel trailer. Recently I purchased a cover from CW for our travel trailer. Last trip I was uncovering and noticed that the roof material was blistering up with a bunch of small bubbles when I removed the cover. After I had the cover off for 20 to 30 minutes the blisters went away and the roof material was laying flat again. I have since left the cover off as I am afraid it is getting too hot underneath and causing the roof material to heat up and loose its bond with the adhesive underneath. What say you? Better to leave the cover off and take the hit from mother nature, or should I not be concerned with it?

I covered mine 2 winters ago for the first time. Never again. The cover was shredded within 2 months and did more damage than good.

Yeah, I would have wanted my trailer to look like this if I didn't cover it...

I've covered my trailers for the last 15 years (I didn't do it the first couple of years I first owned the old Prowler..)

Well, when I traded in that old Prowler for the new Rockwood, it was in such good shape that I got a very good trade in for it. Actually, about 3 times what I thought they would offer...

Anyway, I've never had any mold on the trailer. Just the cover has the MOSS on it! It does not trap moisture. In fact, the cover dries faster than the ground around it after it rains..

I've had the ADCO covers over this time and they have been great for me.

I can't think of a reason not to cover mine when it's out of season.. I don't cover when I'm using it during the summer, but when I winterize it, the cover goes on.

Good luck! Mitch

Cover = mold and mildew on both the rv and cover. Heat and condensation builds up under there, causing even more problems. Never again.

Your going to get a plethora of opinions on this, seen it many times.

I've had nothing but negative experiences with covers and will never cover again.

A pole barn would be an optimal solution but without.....leave it uncovered.
