Truck buying timing?

We're going to buy a new tow vehicle sometime between November and March. That's between camping seasons for us. We're not particular to any brand. Would buy used up to three years old. Off-lease F150 and people jumping to the new model in fall would be an option, or hoping for good rebates from the other brands if the new Fords are good.

Do we know when rebates and/or prices are best? Towards end of the year?

Thanks
Martin

The local Ram dealer said November is best. That's supposed to be when manufacturers push out what's left of last years models and also push new models. Not sure if it's true or not.

Watch out! Dave Smith is my bil, but he doesn't own a dealership. Do you think there's more than one of them?

I like showing up the last business day of the month and about a 1/2 hour before the dealer closes, for some reason they sure like to deal better with me when they're in a hurry to get off of work. ๐Ÿ˜‰

so you want to know when the rebates are the best for new cars....so you can buy used? Find the one you want and buy it.

I go at the end of the month. In your case, end of the year might be best.

I bring a cashiers check for 80% their asking price, and the rest in cash. I negotiate from there. The cashiers check usually gets their attention and shows that I'm a serious buyer.

My best transaction, they took the check and gave me the car. My worst - they took $500 off their price on a $25,000 truck. But it was still a smokin deal so I bought it.
