TT Roof Leak

We have a 2003 Keystone Springdale 27'. After the last snow we discovered water was leaking from the seam on roof near front, where the rubber (?) roof meets the aluminum. It's the only seam on the roof. Our local RV shop said that it's about the end of the life expectancy for that type of roof anyway. They can clean and recoat the entire roof for $750, which would last 3 - 4 years. Or new roof for $3200. Or husband can try to patch it.
Even tho it did leak, there is no obvious water damage. We caught it in time. But, I'm worried about future issues. Also worry about hidden mold issues.
We use our trailer a LOT. I wish we could afford a new one, but we can't.
Any advice on roof?

Take a look at my posts in this thread for information and pictures of what I did to my roof. It is still in good shape today after that procedure. If you cannot do it yourself, then I would copy and show it to a mobile tech to see if he/she could do it.

Resealing the roof isn't rocket science.
There are Youtube Videos showing what to do and how to do it.

I'm fixing to do the roof on my 1975 Fleetwood Prowler.
I have patched the leaks, and I'm waiting for a couple warm clear days to
apply the new roof. You really need at least 2 warm dry days to do a good job.

I did another several years ago. I did a 69 Scottie.

I'm looking at it now. I didn't realize it's a tape.
I do know that there is a mobile repair guy that works locally. I think I saved his name. It might be worthwhile to call him. It would be nice to have someone fix it the way we would do it if we weren't all broken around here. LOL Thanks!!

Thanks. Will check out Eternabond and also ask if that's what they would use. Curious about that. Husband just had back surgery, so it would probably fall on me to do the job and not sure if I'm up for it.

I would call an independent rv tech and ask for a price.
If you dont know one, contact a local campground where you know the operators and ask them for suggestions for one.

The edges at that age should all be closely examined and any questionable caulk cleaned out and replaced before coating.
And a lot of folks swear by eternabond. You may want to look into it as well.

I would go with wanderingaimlessly idea. Exactly what I would do. eternabond is amazing stuff. Go to there website, and watch some youtube clips on it. You can do it yourself. It may take a day or 2 but it is doable and not too costly, and it may last a long time if done right.

If we decide to have it re-coated, we don't mind taking it in. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with re-coating and how long we can expect it to last? And if at 16 years, we can expect the roof to start to leak in multiple places.

might try calling a mobil tech, talk to them about sealing. ask lots of questions.
