First Time Camping This YearI've been doing some construction work with a friend and drove home through the Forest Roads. I decided to stay overnight at Takhlakh Lake in the Gifford Pinchott NF, a little above 4000 feet. Still snow on the ground. Camping was free since the pay boxes were all sealed for the winter. I was fine with that development. There were about a dozen other campers in the campground. There were folks fishing and I even caught a jumper. I made a nice Chuck Roast for dinner, also for lunch the following day. I had tried to stay at this a couple times before but it always seems to have mosquitoes like no other lake. It must be early in the season because there were none as yet. I walked around a bit enjoying the trails and taking pictures/video, then finished my drive home. Enjoy!
