Darn birds are coming to the house, so the job is not giving me much needed exercise

Had to google the park as lakes open to the public in Las Vegas are very rare.
Unfortunately it is across the city, so I'll stick to my RoadRuners feeding job.
Looks like your brother enjoys his retirement?

As I see it, you have great roads there. Shouldn't take too long crossing town to get there and enjoy yourself a nice afternoon. Go fishing. I imagine it is very popular in the summer. Advantage travel off season!
I'm with you on Roadrunners. That is a neat bird. Friends in Albuquerque have a resident pair in their neighborhood that roams around every afternoon hunting. Roadrunners are very different from other birds in how they move about. It is easy to imagine as little dinosaurs.

Didn't see camping at Floyd Lamb Park. There are several nearby camping opportunities. I camped at my brothers house. Free... Sure liked my week of sight seeing in Las Vegas. Highly recommend as a tourist, not as a gambler. See the casinos for shows and buffet. Let others make the house rich. Like other cities, Las Vegas has a lot of wonderful sights to behold natural and man made. This trip, I saw Las Vegas, not the gambling...

The ducks and other critters sure liked the bread. Since each of them only got a piece or two each, I hardly think dietary considerations merit any attention. A bite of cheese cake isn't going to hurt you. Bread is from wheat, wheat is a grass, they eat grass and other plants, no problem. Did not see signs prohibiting feeding
