Vinyl Floor coming up

So we got back from an outing this afternoon and I was in the new TT tightening a few screws and doing general touch up of things that we are still finding wrong with our new Outback Terrain 250TRS. While I was on the floor cleaning out one of the AC vents, I noticed that my vinyl outside the bathroom (on the outside opposite the shower) and into the kitchen was bubbling/gathering. My wife mentioned that she noticed it yesterday for the first time. That was immediately prior to us using the shower to rinse off my kids for the first time so it wasn't related to the use of the shower (at least by us). To reiterate, we've never used the shower before last night. From what I can tell, the flooring was not properly laid down and it just appears to be gathering and wasn't glued completely. There is no give on the flooring beneath the spots it is bubbling. My concern is that this will get worse and someone will trip on and potentially rip the flooring.

I fully plan on taking this in for warranty work, but my question is whether they can repair this without having to rip out the entire coach? I still love my Outback, but I am constantly finding little things that have been done in a shoddy manner...which I can luckily mostly fix for myself.

So now I notice this was an old post. Yes, what did happen?

What they *should* be doing is cutting out the bad area and seam welding in a patch. They can order from the factory or if small enough, sometimes you can steal a piece from an inconspicuous spot inside a cabinet or another hidden spot.

Before you let the dealer fix it, I would discuss it with the guy who would be doing it. They need to know how to do it. Ask if they can show you something they've done on another unit. If you don't trust them, find a professional floor layer to do it. Properly done, you'll have to look pretty closely to see the repair. Regretfully, some dealers are good at some things. You want it fixed right the first time and you also want to make sure there's not defective sheet flooring elsewhere. I know 100% for certain that our dealer can do this properly.

The flooring is not glued down. It's free-floating and is stapled around the entire perimeter of your TT and then they build everything on top of it. If it's bubbling up for no reason at all, that's not a good sign. Vinyl sheet flooring sometimes does not do well in cold temps. but it would be damage from shrinkage. Bubbling would suggest expansion from heat, not cold. Maybe there is something else going on underneath.

The most important thing to address is whether or not it's due to water leakage somewhere. If not attended to, water leakage can cause major damage. I would get it looked at asap.

Finding things that need fixing is more the norm than the exception. Just make sure you deal with things under warranty that need to be. Sometimes little things can be easier to repair yourself. Maybe posting a pic. would help.

May be possible that it's not glued down to allow for the flexing of the trailer. Similar to a floating laminate floor. Or just glued down around the edges. Good luck...if it's not one little thing it's another in the RV world.

I think the first and last sentences fully explains the outcome.
