Vision 19.5's end caps help

So I finally ponied up and got 19.5's. I had Les Schwab install them yesterday and all went well except for the center caps won't fit.

My rear ones won't quite fit over the hubs and the front ones need to be open to access and turn my hubs. My questions are can I remove the center piece for the front ones? I tried to turn it and give it a little love without breaking it with no avail. I'm sure I just need new open ones for the front, but looks like they MIGHT pop out?

The rears won't fit over the hub. It get's close, but won't go in all the way, rubbing on the inside, hub too big.

I'm waiting to hear back from the place I bought them from online and also tried calling vision, all phone #'s disconnected.

They are charging me, PM sent. Gonna drill out 2 of the ones I got with a 3.5" hole saw for the fronts.

Thanks. Ya, still waiting to here back, so we'll see. I used my dremel on one of them and it fits the front fine, not pretty though, can't get a perfect cut. I figure I can get a 3.5" hole saw and drill out 2 of the 3 remaining for the fronts no problem. I'll see if they at least send me a couple of deep rears.

They sent you the wrong caps, you need the deep ones and yes they make a deep cap with the cut out to access your 4wd hub.

I am not aware of any. Being made of plastic, which is very thin, they would be easy to cut with a Drimel type tool.

They are easily removed with a
Philip screwdriver, two screws. You could remove them during those times you may need 4WD.

OK, mine are only 3" deep. Sounds like the place I bought them from will work with me, just waiting for a call back.

Do they make on open cap for front hubs?

I went through that years ago. In my case, I had a 2WD truck. They ordered 4 caps that were for 2WD. They reordered caps for the rear that cleared the rear hub.

My truck was 2WD so no need to remove the center piece. My caps were plastic. You could cut the center of the cap off to expose the hub locks. You could also just run without the caps. They are held on with two screws.

There are 2 different sizes of Vision caps. The deep ones are 5" tall. Hopefully you have the shallow ones.. I no longer have them so I can not tell you the height. I would guess they were about 4".

I ordered my Visions from Les, along with my tires. The caps that came with mine were the shallow ones so Les folks ordered the deep ones for me... You might go to Les and they can get them for you.
