The shifter knob works ok, it does free up console space, but it's next to the radio volume knob and fan speed knob. I don't know how many times I've reached for one and grabbed another.

I do miss the rotation knobs for the AC controls vs. the buttons.

I've accidentally dropped my '97 F150 in into 4hi while trying to adjust the heat! Gawd! I hope it's not just me!

X2
It must be in the water :B At least I didn't turn the fan onto High! which would be low range :W

Or said another way... At least his controls work unlike this LAM. :W

Frankly I could care less. I don't buy a truck based on the interior. I buy it based on what the truck can do for me. Will it tow my rig or haul my load. It may sound rude but that's ALL I care about.

Your comment isn't rude and it's obvious the interior is not important to you. Nothing wrong with that.

On the other hand when I was truck shopping in '12 I didn't even bother test driving a Chevy truck simply because I disliked the interior so much that it was game over for me.

Well, from your signature, any of the current 2500 trucks, gas or diesel, will likely tow your rig. So, how do you choose after that?

People who RV in general are a small fraction of the buyers for HD trucks. People who don't care about the interior are an even smaller percentage.

I know that the manufactures sell a few stripped trucks, but most trucks are pretty well loaded with options these days. The vast majority of buyers today care about the interiors.

amazing how comfortable truck interiors have come. My 86 ford club cab WAS NOT built for comfort!! Even my 2008 Ram looks crappy compared to the new trucks.

At work we have a 2015 Ram 1500 - not a fan the the shift dial but everything else is a win.

Actually I thought RAM's interiors looked like the 09-14 F150 interiors. The 15 F150 is just a evolutionary change from the 09-14 design.

x2 with Fish... The F-150 (and Fords) is usually victim of copycats... ๐Ÿ˜„

Having said that, both the Ford King Ranch and the Ram Laramie Longhorn are tops....

A lot of flu-fru and fluff does not a truck make. WHat it takes to pull an RV is under the fluff.

I would like that F150 interior more if they didn't waste all that space with the floor shifter. They seem to like lots of buttons too. I guess that's OK if you drive it everyday and learn it. My wife's Fusion is button heavy too. I have a heck of time just trying to turn on the defrost.

I prefer the console shifter over a rotating knob shifter.
I have no experience with the rotating knob so can't comment on it, but I know a column shifter works just as well as the console shifter and would free up almost a cubic foot of storage.
