Water in propane line?

Hello there! Just bought my first vintage Jayco trailer, late 80's model. I attempted to attach a propane tank to what I believed to be a propane line yesterday in order to hook up my fridge. When I unscrewed it, water came out of the hose connected to the trailer. Is this normal? Does condensation build up in the line or could it just be that it built up some rain water from where it was connected?

I'm providing pictures of everything to give a better idea.

Nozzle where the hose was hooked up.

Image of the propane tank - I realize I'll probably have to get a different hose to hook up to the line if it is propane. The adapter hose on it doesn't seem like it'll fit.

The pictured hose is for a gas grill.

Propane cylinder and hose........WRONG HOSE! You need one with the big green nut and a threaded fitting.

The threaded fitting on new hose screws into TOP of your 2 stage regulator----use Yellow teflon tape (for gas)

The hose coming from trailer screws into bottom of 2 stage regulator....BUT you should replace that hose cause of 'stuff' being inside hose and those cuts to outside of hose. REPLACE IT!

Again -----------Yellow teflon tape for ALL connections
And might want to consider new regulator
Is it time for your medication or mine?

The hose with the large connector is for use with an appliance like a camping cook stove or Mr Heater Buddy Stove that use the small 1 lb propane cylinders.

Get the correct hose. The regulator (the gray item that the hose connect to) may be bad since the trailer is so old.

Are you sure it is water. I think. . :h . . . It is normal for "Oil" to be in the hose and the bottom of the tank.
